UW Purchasing Department offers training
The UW-Madison Purchasing Department is offering training opportunities on Oct. 21 and 23. Both sessions will be conducted at 21 N. Park St. in Room 5045 in the morning. Please note that free Bus Route 85 stops directly in front of the building.
- How to Purchase Goods and Services at UW-Madison: Intermediate Topics – October 21 morning session from 8:30-11:45. This session will focus on purchases over $5000 and some of the more complex purchasing processes. It is ideal for those that already have a basic understanding of the purchasing process and methods, but are looking for additional knowledge or are responsible for assisting with and/or preparing some of the larger purchases in their departments, or as a refresher for staff already assisting in this capacity.
- Processing Requisitions and Managing your PO Encumbrances – October 23 morning session from 8:30-11:45. This session will focus on an in depth explanation of the requisition and PO and encumbrance management processes. It is ideal for campus staff generating and submitting either form as part of their duties.
