The Department of Life Sciences Communication welcomes Jonathan Miller to campus on September 23. As part of the Life Sciences Communication Centennial Speaker Series, Miller will present, “Telling Stories: The Power and the Peril,” at 12 p.m. in the Ebling Symposium Center on the first floor of the Microbial Sciences Building on September 23. Miller is a veteran public radio reporter and will talk about the importance of storytelling in journalism, and about the pitfalls. Miller is executive director of Homelands Productions, a non-profit media group that specializes in public radio documentaries. A long-time reporter for National Public Radio, Miller is executive producer of WORKING, a series about jobs in the global economy currently airing on Marketplace, and was editorial director of Think Global, a collaboration between 300 public radio stations and 35 national shows.This entry was posted in Uncategorized by jsindelar.
