Wednesday, August 6 is UW-Madison Day at the 2008 Wisconsin State Fair — an opportunity to celebrate the spirit of Wisconsin’s students, families, and communities and to join Bucky Badger, the UW Marching Band and alumni from around the world for musical performances, science activities, and demonstrations of how UW-Madison discoveries have fueled Wisconsin’s agriculture and economy.
CALS alumni are encouraged to attend UW-Madison Day at the 2008 Wisconsin State Fair and to spread the word about the celebration. Agriculture remains a key fixture of the state fair and CALS is proud of the role played by our alumni, researchers, educators, and outreach in Wisconsin’s economy and culture.
UW-Madison Day at the 2008 Wisconsin State Fair is also a chance to show your Badger pride by volunteering. Several volunteers are needed to roll out the red carpet for fair goers and make UW-Madison’s presence known. Bring a group of friends, family, or an organization. Contact Becky Duffy if you are interested or want more information on volunteering: firstname.lastname@example.org or (608) 262-3673.
