BSE seniors are among finalists in environmental design competition
A design team consisting of biological systems engineering seniors Joe Hanson, Darrin Sherstad and Fazri Musa was named one of three finalists for the ASABE G.B. Gunlogson Environmental Design Student Competition. They will compete for the open championship in Providence, R.I. with their project, titled Arbor Hills Greenway Stormwater Infiltration System Design. Project advisors were Anita Thompson and John Panuska.
The competition is designed to encourage undergraduate students to participate in the design of a relevant
engineering project and to provide an arena of professional competition for environmentally and biologically related design projects. The competition consists of two parts. First the teams submit a report to be judged by an expert panel. The three teams earning the highest report scores vie for top prize in a presentation competition at the ASABE International Meeting.
