Howard Ganther honored for his pioneering trace element research

Emeritus Professor Howard Ganther has been awarded the Klaus Schwarz Medal by the International Association of Bioinorganic Scientists (IABS) “for his pioneering studies in selenium biochemistry and selenium-mercury interactions.” The medal is awarded to leading trace element researchers. It is named for Klaus Schwarz, one of the most prolific leaders in trace element research of the past century and a cofounder of IABS. For more information, download the award announcement.
