The CALS Research Division and some of the staff in the Dean’s Office will hold an orientation session for new faculty in CALS. We will focus mostly on research issues, but will also include international work, how to speak to the media, how to start protecting your data and intellectual property, how to apply for grant proposals, and other issues that you may face in your new appointments. You will have a chance to meet some of the CALS administrative staff and ask questions about your faculty role. Of course, we hope that this is the beginning of our opportunity to get to know you and provide assistance as you conduct your scholarship.
This session will take place from 1:00 – 4:30 on October 16th at Parson’s Pen in Taylor Hall. This building is located behind the Genetics-Biotechnology building, just off Henry Mall.
Please let Casey Hillmer in the CALS Research Division know if you can attend by Oct 12, 2007: firstname.lastname@example.org
We hope you can attend!
