Diversity and Climate Campus Forum
Chancellor Wiley invites all faculty and staff to hear more about campus efforts to create a welcoming, diverse and inclusive campus and to celebrate our successes at the eighth annual Diversity and Climate Campus Forum, to be held from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 28, at Memorial Union.
Titled “Diversity: Engagement, Resistance, Change,” the daylong event has been planned by a cross-campus committee and will feature a program of speakers, multicultural performances and discussion sessions.
For a complete program of events, including a link to registration, visit http://www.diversity.wisc.edu/forums.php
The events keynote speaker will be Nobel Prize-nominated photojournalist, activist and author Jane Hamilton-Merritt, who has extensively chronicled the experience of the Hmong people.
Faculty members are encouraged to allow students to attend forum sessions as a substitute for a normal class meeting, wherever possible. Staff members may attend without loss of pay after receiving approval from their supervisor.
