TRAINING: Research Administration Spreadsheets and Other Tools

PRESENTERS: CALS Research Division and CALS Business Services
TOPIC OUTLINE: This session will provide information regarding spreadsheets, tools, templates, forms, agreements, references materials, etc., which may be helpful in assisting individuals with various aspects of sponsored projects administration such as proposal development, budget building, and award management. Examples of information to be shared include:
* Tracking systems (PALS) and query tools available
* Spreadsheets ? UW Standard, NIH modular, SF424 R&R
* Templates ? no cost extensions, rebudgeting, PI change, gift acknowledgements, letters of commitment/intent,
* Forms ? account number in advance, provisional request for time extension, subaccounts, gift-in-kind, transfers
* Agreements ? standard research, training, clinical trials, agreement amendments
* Reference materials ? agency policy manuals, FDP terms, OBM circulars, UW/System guidelines
WHO SHOULD ATTEND: Department/Center personnel involved in various aspects of sponsored projects administration.
