Top state officials to discuss environmental issues Dec. 7

What are Wisconsin’s highest environmental priorities as the Doyle administration enters its second term? Four members of Gov. Jim Doyle’s cabinet whose agencies handle environmental and resource management concerns will discuss this question at a free public forum Dec. 7 at at 7:30 p.m. The event takes place in the Wisconsin Historical Society Auditorium, 816 State Street.

“The State of Wisconsin’s Environment” will be the topic for state agency secretaries Scott Hassett (Department of Natural Resources), Rod Nilsestuen (Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection), Jim Holperin (Department of Tourism), and Stephen Babitch (Department of Administration).

Journalist Patty Loew, host of Wisconsin Public Television’s “In Wisconsin” series and an associate professor in the College’s Department of Life Sciences Communication, will moderate.
