The Ohio State Food Science faculty selected food scientist Daryl B. Lund to receive the 2006 OSU Food Science Harris Award. This award is given annually to recognize excellence in and contributions to the discipline of food science. Lund accepted the award on October 3 in Columbus, Ohio.
Lund was a professor in the College’s food science department for 21 years before moving to Rutgers University to serve first as food science department and then as Executive Dean of Agriculture and Natural Resources. From there he went to Cornell University to serve as Dean of Agriculture and Life Sciences. In 2001 he returned to Madison to serve as Executive Director of the North Central Regional Association of State Agricultural Experiment Station Directors.This entry was posted in Awards and honors, People and Departments by jsindelar.
