It is being sent to deans, vice chancellors, department chairs, governance leads, Administrative Council, Leadership Council, University Relations Council, VCFA directors, ASM leadership, Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs Council members and the Provost’s Executive Group.

Recent Activities
Monday, Jan. 18:
- Provost Karl Scholz and Vice Chancellor for Finance and Administration Laurent Heller sent a message to building managers, deans, directors, and the Administrative Council regarding building monitoring options for the spring semester.
- University Housing shared updates in its resident newsletter about COVID-19 spring semester testing and the Safer Badgers app.
Tuesday, Jan. 19:
- An all campus message was sent promoting the availability of the Android version of the Safer Badgers app in the Google Play Store. The message encouraged everyone in the campus community to download the app from either the App Store (for iOS) or Google Play as soon as possible.
- Inside UW included an update on spring semester testing requirements, tips for a saliva test, and promotion of a video on how to install the Safer Badgers app.
- A virtual forum was held for supervisors and managers to provide updates on the Safer Badgers program for spring semester and answer questions. The event was moderated by Vice Chancellor for University Relations Charles Hoslet and was live streamed on YouTube.
Wednesday, Jan. 20:
- The weekly COVID-19 update shared information and reminders on getting ready for the spring semester. Separate messages were sent to undergraduate students, professional and graduate students and faculty and staff.
- The Weekly promoted information about the Safer Badgers app, a checklist for the start of the semester, and tips for a successful saliva test. Some of the same information was also shared in Working at UW.
- Working at UW also promoted the employee forum on Jan. 21 and highlighted the opportunity (and need) for employees to serve as paid volunteers to support the campus testing program.
Thursday, Jan. 21:
- UW-Madison will begin vaccinating members of the campus community aged 65 or older, according to a new update.
- An online forum was held for employees and graduate students to address questions related to the new COVID-19 testing requirements, the Safer Badgers app and access to campus facilities. The event was live streamed on YouTube.
- Campus News included an article on this week’s top COVID-19/Safer Badgers questions.
- A media briefing was held sharing information on the new COVID-19 testing requirements. The event was streamed on Facebook live.
Friday, Jan. 22:
- An all-campus message announced the decision to transition from testing appointments to all drop-in testing at all test locations beginning Sunday, Jan. 24. The change will require users to update their Safer Badgers app.
