Peter McIntyre to lead Global Health Tuesday seminar on mercury pollution in fish – Feb. 27
Peter McIntyre, an associate professor at the Center for Limnology, will discuss “Polluted Fish and Cycles of Poverty” on Tuesday, Feb. 27, at 4:30 p.m. in room 1010 of the Medical Science Center, 1300 University Avenue. His project, funded with a Global Health Institute Seed Grant, traces the global scope of mercury contamination of inland subsistence fisheries and addresses an unrecognized facet of the cycle of poverty: contamination of food fish with neurotoxins.
