Volunteers will simply hand the donors a voucher which can be redeemed at the ticket gates.
Volunteers are asked to check in at the UW volunteer tent at least 20 minutes prior to their assigned volunteer time. Every participant will receive a Badger hat and t-shirt, which they are expected to wear while working the volunteer station and can be kept as a thank you for your assistance. All volunteers will receive one free admission to the State Fair. Special transportation is provided from Madison to the fair, and parking assistance can be provided to those who drive to the event.
Volunteers are expected to stand for the entire 90 minute period and will not have access to shelter, remember it can get very hot in August! Water will be provided. Families are encouraged to sign up together, but volunteers must be 13 years of age or older. Only working volunteers receive free fair admission.
