A frank discussion on wieners: CALS Lecture Series: Wisconsin’s Best — Sept. 21

Alumni, faculty, staff, students and friends of the College of the Agricultural and Life Sciences are encouraged to participate in the Fall 2009 CALS Lecture Series: Wisconsin’s Best. This series will focus on Wisconsin food products that are industry leaders in research or production. University and private industry experts will provide an insider’s look into various aspects of the development, cultivation, processing and marketing of these food staples.

Join us on September 21 at 4:45p.m. in the Ebling Symposium Center for the first lecture and discover the fascinating operations of one of World’s most recognized meat and cold cut production companies – Oscar Mayer. Principal Scientist of R&D, Stephen Quickert, will walk through the history, production and development of one of the world’s most famous hot dogs – the beef frank. A complimentary beef frank will be served to guests following the lecture.
