Dean Lori Berquam will provide a session on Students Today on Thursday, September 20 from noon to 1:15 in room 6201 of the Microbial Sciences Building. Participants can expect to gain an appreciation for the profile of our student population and tips on how to get and keep them engaged in the classroom.
This brown bag session is the first of a series to be presented this fall by the CALS Teaching and Learning Council. The charge of the council is to provide leadership, advice, and recommendations on teaching and learning that foster a collegial and collaborative educational environment. The purpose of this inaugural event is to provide CALS faculty, staff and postdoctoral and graduate students with an overview of who the students of today are and how we can best meet their unique learning needs. This session will include an opportunity to share ideas on how to engage todays student in our classrooms.
Come join us for lively discussion and camaraderie as we continue to nurture our culture of teaching excellence. For more information please contact Monica Theis at firstname.lastname@example.org .
