Winter/spring Pilates, meditation, and fitness group opportunities across campus
Hello CALS community! The CALS Wellness Committee would like to bring to your attention some awesome Pilates, meditation, and fitness opportunities over the next few months. Pilates with Caleb
Invigorate your workday with Pilates! Join the campus movement towards workplace health by attending beginner-level Pilates mat classes taught by Caleb Klein, our student instructor from the UW Dance Department’s Pilates Program. All you need to bring is yourself, an exercise mat or large towel, and clothes you can work out in. No experience with Pilates is necessary and all levels of fitness are welcome! The class is free, and advance sign up is only suggested.
MONDAYS in Union South at noon (50 minutes, OK to arrive late and leave early) Feb. 6 – April 10 (no class March 22)
WEDNESDAYS in Memorial Union at noon (50 minutes, OK to arrive late and leave early) Weekly, Jan. 25 – May 3 (no class March 22)

Meditation with Esty
Take a break from work and stress in this quiet time which includes meditation, movement, and breath work. Esty Dinur is a longtime student/practitioner of spiritual traditions. She has led meditations in Madison, California, and Israel, and has initiated and led the first-ever meditation room and workshops at the national convention of Veterans for Peace. All you need to bring is yourself and a desire to relax. The class is free and advance sign up is only suggested.

Morning Group Fitness with Abe on Bascom Hill
The November Project is a fitness group that is led by volunteers to provide FREE outdoor group workouts year-round. This usually includes some running, tossed in with some fun exercises. All range of abilities are welcome! Usually there are about 30 to 40 people at events.

UHS meditation classes
Meditation classes at UHS introduce the general principles and benefits of meditation. Participants practice different types of meditation including: breathing-focused, mantra-focused, loving kindness, humming, third eye, and chakra. All classes are free and open to students, faculty, and staff. No registration required. Classes are:
Tuesdays | Noon – 1 p.m. (21 North Park Street #7045)
Wednesdays | Noon – 1 p.m. (Union South TITU)
Thursdays | Noon – 1 p.m. (Union South TITU)
Tergar meditation sessions
These unguided “Open Meditation Sessions” are open to everyone. Each session is divided into 30 minute practices and you are welcome to come for as little as 30 minutes or as long as the entire time. If you want to join after the starting time, the meditation room will be open to enter on the hour or half hour. All events are at 301 S. Blount St. in Madison. Questions?
