National Sea Grant College Program’s Sea Grant Intern Program
The UW Sea Grant Institute is accepting applications from graduate students statewide for the National Sea Grant College Program’s (NSGCP) 2018 Sea Grant Intern Program (working title: Dean John A. Knauss Marine Policy Fellowship Program).
The program, established in 1979, provides a unique educational experience to students who have an interest in ocean, coastal and Great Lakes resources and in the national policy decisions affecting those resources. The program matches highly qualified graduate students with “hosts” in the legislative and executive branch of government located in the Washington, D.C. area, for a one year paid internship. The 2018 internships begin February 1, 2018.
It is strongly recommended that initial applications are submitted by January 16, 2017, to be able to incorporate constructive feedback into a final submission due date no later than 5:00 p.m. CST, Friday, February. 10, 2017.
Applications should be sent to Terri Liebmann, Room 272, Goodnight Hall, 1975 Willow Drive, Madison, Wisconsin 53706-1177 or emailed to terri@aqua.wisc.edu.
