The Feed the Future Innovation Lab for Collaborative Research on Sorghum and Millet (SMIL) is a global hub of cutting-edge research along the sorghum and pearl millet value chains. Focused on increasing the resiliency of small-scale producers in the face of climate change, the SMIL links U.S. and international universities and research organizations in a collaborative effort to make sorghum and pearl millet the crops of the future.

At this time, the United Sorghum Checkoff Program (USCP) is soliciting pre-proposals for targeted research and education. The goal of this RFP is to “Further Enhance the Opportunities for Sorghum Producers through Specific Projects and/or Education that will INCREASE PRODUCTIVITY, DEMAND and/or VALUE”.
*PRE-PROPOSALS ARE DUE: 8:00 a.m. (Central Time) May 8th, 2015*. Send pre-proposals to proposals@sorghumcheckoff.com. Pre-proposals not received at this site will not be evaluated.
