Call for participation: Dairy-themed science outreach event at WID
On June 6, the Town Center at the Wisconsin Institutes for Discovery will host a dairy-themed Saturday Science event called the Science of America’s Dairyland, which will focus on the science of agriculture, dairy products and more.
Organizers are seeking proposals for Exploration Stations for the event, which runs from 10am-1pm that day. Exploration stations are typically hands-on activities for families to do and learn more about a topic, and they are a great way to showcase your work.
The Saturday Science series is a free, monthly program that brings science exploration and education programs to families and learners of all ages. Presenters that host an exploration station will lead a short hands-on activity to showcase their work to 300-700 participants, mostly families and children.
Please sign up to participate! Organizers can provide volunteers to assist you at your station if needed. Once you sign up, you will be sent a flyer that you can display and distribute to promote your participation in Saturday Science!
